Paskwa 2013

14th, 2013 The Capizeño Association of Ontario hosted their annual Christmas party at the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga. Despite the snow storm the event was successful with a full house and live band. The evening started with speeches from the Association’s President, Jerome Banate, and the master of ceremonies of the night, Tiffany Banate. In addition, there were games, and a raffle, as well as plenty of food and dancing!

A video was also played, showing the association’s contributions to relief in the province of Capiz, Philippines, following the destruction caused by typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Despite the devastating events in the Philippines, everyone celebrated the night with high spirits and hopes for our kasimanwas affected by the typhoon.

This year’s Christmas party was an excellent way to end 2013 and welcome the New Year on a positive note!
