Induction of Officers and Karaoke Night

On April 10 2010 the Capizeno Association of Ontario held its Induction of officers for the 2010-2012 term. Included in the night was a fun filled Karaoke event & Dance which was definitely the highlight of the night.

The evening commenced with inspirational words of encouragement by Rev. Fr. Romeo Tolentino, who then proceeded to the invocation and induction ceremony. Nineteen new officers including the new President and Vice President were officially inaugurated. Welcoming remarks and speeches were made by Jerome Banate the new President who spoke of the endless efforts put into the re-establishment of the association. Remarks were also made by past presidents Reynaldo Mesitidio and Florecita “Baby” Bofill Reyes who led the prayer before meal, both who have supported the organization’s revival from day one.

Dinner was then served – a buffet, which included an assortment of flavourful foods for all to enjoy. Following dinner was a night of karaoke and dancing which was definitely the highlight of the evening. All who participated promoted a fun filled atmosphere full of laughter for all.

The first event of the 2010-2012 term was undoubtedly a tremendous success. However, most importantly, the event personified the association’s main objectives – connecting Capizenos to promote friendship and growth among the members. Throughout the evening, there indeed was never a dull moment! The new officers and directors look forward into leading the association into its most eventful chapter yet, full of more exciting events in the near future!
